This knife has a blade of just under 3". It has a high quality high carbon steel blade so it holds its sharp edge well. Once this folding knife is opened it is surprisingly large overall and suitable for a variety of tasks. It is really very handy to carry although illegal to do so in a public place as the blade locks into place.
